Paladins of the Oath of Color are as varied as the seasons. These holy warriors see the world around them through prismatic lenses, seeking out both the bright and the dark. This oath allows for contrasts in methods of combat, and even alternatives to it. The variations of this oath are known as Palettes, as each finds meaning in a specific color scheme. Knights of the Oath of Color adorn themselves with the shades of their palette: red, yellow, and blue for Primarium, orange, green, and purple for Secondaria, or black, gray, and white for Monochromia.

Chromaknights share many ideals with fey knights, of the Oath of the Ancients. They differ, however, in the whimsical slant to their philosophies. Paladins of the Oath of Color have shifting personalities in line with their palettes, and believe in the triskele balance of this dogma. Colors are ultimately shades of one source— light— and there is a freeing aspect to the realization that all creatures are of the same.
